They’re celebrating their 60 year anniversary this year. When Mark bought the business they had nine technicians and a couple of apprentices on the road and now Fallon employs about 200 staff members. David Rose
John Coates AC is Australia’s most influential Sports Administrator. He is Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, President of the International Council of Arbitration for Sport and Court of Arbitration for Sport and Executive member of the Australian Olympic Committee. John has been a fixture at the Summer Olympic Games for the past 46 years and was instrumental in securing Brisbane’s successful bid for the 2032 Olympic Games. He is a former Honorary Secretary of the Australian Amateur Rowing Council and Continental Representative of FISA.
Mystery Speaker
Kim Brennan AM (nee Crow) is an Olympic gold, silver and bronze medallist and made her first Australian team within 8 months of taking up rowing. Kim was a member of the Australian Senior Team for 11 years (2006- 2016). Kim sits on the Australian Sports Foundation and has previously been Chair of the Australian Olympic Committee Athletes Commission, has sat on the AIS Ethics Committee, the AOC Executive Board, the AOC Selection Committee, the AOC High Performance Committee and the Rowing Australia Athletes’ Commission.
Marie-Louise Theile
Former Journalist and Network Ten Newsreader, now marketing and creative agency Director Marie-Louise Theile has been close to rowing for the past decade (from outside the boat.) BGGS Rowing Support Group President for many years, her daughter rowed to national and junior worlds level before being recruited to a
US Ivy League College. Marie-Louise’s passion for rowing continued during that time as a spectator – enjoying Henley, Head of the Charles and regular College regattas. Marie-Louise will be interviewing
Kim Brennan.
